Our training is based on reward and non-reward but it's not quite that simple! We structure exercises carefully, so that Puppies and Dogs can build on success, maintaining the confidence to put in real effort and also learning that all important self-control.

We don't use check chains, pinch/prong collars or electronic collars, but if you wish, we can help you with options for head-collars or body harnesses, available at Forest Shadows. You are welcome to use a clicker and some of our club members do, but it isn't essential. We are happy to talk over the best options for you and your dog.
